Building Strong Communication with your Children is very important
Dear Parents, Children & Well wishers
Effective communication is the foundation of a strong relationship with your child whether toddlers or teens, how you talk to your child shapes their ability to express themselves and understand the world around them.
Listen Actively: When your child is talking, stop what you're doing and give them your full attention. Make eye contact, nod, and show interest in what they say. This helps your child feel heard and valued.
Use “I” Statements: Instead of telling your child what they did wrong, try using “I” statements to express how you feel. For example, “I feel frustrated when you don’t listen to me” helps your child understand your emotions without feeling blamed or defensive.
Encourage Open Dialogue: Create a safe environment where your child feels comfortable expressing their thoughts, feelings, and concerns. Praise them for being open and honest.
Set Aside Quality Time: Dedicate time each day to connect with your child—whether it’s over a meal, during a walk, or before bed. This helps to strengthen your bond and gives your child space to share what's on their mind.
